WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the Worship Director is to provide oversight and direction to all aspects of the weekend worship experience. The Worship Director ensures that the culture, systems and processes are constantly improving, and are always positioned to help people experience the message and hope of Christ.
Duties/Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute the overall vision of worship across campuses.
Champion a culture of Spirit-led, Christ-centered worship that is biblically grounded and culturally relevant.
Serve as the primary worship leader and provide visible leadership at main campus and key events.
Oversee and coach campus worship leaders to ensure unity and consistency in worship experiences across campuses.
Provide oversight of existing campus worship volunteers and assist with the scheduling and planning of all weekend worship logistics.
Oversee the continuous recruitment efforts of new worship team members and musicians, and ensure that the communication and coordination processes remain effective at assigned campus.
Create systems for ongoing development, evaluation, and training of worship teams.
Participate in all creative and special event planning meetings that impact/involve worship service planning and tasks.
Responsible for overseeing worship team preparation and execution for all weekend auxiliary worship services (i.e., Vertical, MVMNT).
Oversee selection of weekend setlists and setlist team.
Contribute to song writing and content creation through our worship team.
Oversee worship budget, equipment, maintenance, and procurement across campuses.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience as a worship leader in a church. Candidate will have a proven ability to strategically develop and lead teams, and able to manage multiple projects with strong follow through.
Others skills deemed valuable for this position:
Proficiency in voice and at least one instrument,
Proficiency with worship technology (e.g., Ableton, MainStage, Planning Center, in-ear monitors, multitracks).
Competency in music theory/fundamentals
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Critical thinking and collaborative problem solving
Ability to create, coordinate and lead a worship experience with a team
