Lanes of impact.
A lane gives clarity, intentionality and focus for team members. All lanes are unique in their mission, yet all are focused on a single purpose. Each lane has its own report to provide the Kingdom Builders Team with information on existing projects, new projects, connect opportunities, financial needs and Kingdom impact. There are four Kingdom Builder Lanes of impact.
Church Projects Lane
-
Planting Churches ($8,000,000 per campus)
Our vision is to establish a local church presence in every community around Charlotte, and our goal is to launch a total of 10 campuses to achieve this mission. Currently, we are actively seeking a location for our South Charlotte campus, which carries an estimated investment cost of $8,000,000.
Looking ahead, we have identified several potential future locations for additional campuses, each with a comparable investment estimate of $8,000,000.
These areas include:
Matthews
South Park
Gastonia
Concord
Weddington/Waxhaw
South Carolina
Please note that the exact property location may vary if a suitable property is donated to Freedom House. The South End campus is a great example of how donated property can be leveraged and transformed into a successful campus that serves our community today.
-
Debt Elimination ($12,000,000)
Eliminating debt accelerates our ministry by relieving financial stress and unlocking new giving opportunities. It gives us the flexibility to make strategic investments, like funding construction, renovations, and property purchases with cash, avoiding interest payments, and making each dollar more impactful. This approach allows our resources to go further, allowing us to fulfill our mission more efficiently and effectively.
-
Box Truck ($40,000)
Having a box truck at Freedom House has proven to be a significant asset to the community, providing essential support for various outreach initiatives, assisting single mothers in moving, facilitating equipment transportation, and efficiently managing everyday church errands. Our existing truck has served us well but has now accumulated nearly 400,000 miles, highlighting the urgent need for a replacement. Given the critical role this truck plays in our daily ministry operations, we are committed to acquiring a newer vehicle with lower mileage to ensure its longevity and continued service in our mission to better serve and support the community.
-
Host Property ($550,000)
At Freedom House, we frequently welcome guest speakers, host ministers and missionaries, and provide housing to those who come to visit. To better serve our mission, we envision the establishment of a host property, a valuable resource that would eliminate the unnecessary expenditure on hotel bills. Instead, we would utilize our resources wisely, viewing this as an investment that would simultaneously foster equity growth.
-
Recording Studio ($15,000)
The addition of a recording studio to our facilities holds the promise of several exciting opportunities. Firstly, it will enable us to produce in-house worship projects, eliminating the need for costly external rentals. This will not only save us resources but also grant us greater creative control. Moreover, the studio will offer increased flexibility, allowing us to ramp up our production capabilities, expand our output, and reach a broader audience. To date, we have successfully released one worship album and four albums for kids, and with the new studio, we anticipate even more music projects that will further enhance our ministry and reach.
-
Barn Conversion / Property Upgrade ($50,000)
We envision exciting possibilities for The Lodge, our men’s retreat in the mountains. Our dream is to transform the existing barn into a dedicated worship space, creating a sacred place for reflection and connection. We also hope to enhance the retreat’s natural beauty by expanding and revitalizing the pond, providing a peaceful spot for fishing and meaningful gatherings. These plans will help make The Lodge an even more enriching space, where men can come together, find renewal, and build lasting community.
-
Commercial Lawn Mower ($10,000)
We envision purchasing a commercial lawn mower for the Strong Men’s Lodge to efficiently maintain our beautiful grounds. A high-quality mower will enhance the property’s appearance and improve the experience for our guests. This investment will reduce the time and labor needed for lawn care, allowing us to focus on creating a welcoming environment. A durable, commercial-grade mower will be a valuable asset, ensuring that the Lodge continues to reflect the care and attention we dedicate to every detail of the property.
-
Obstacle + Tactical Course ($40,000)
We are excited to enhance the Strong Men’s Lodge by adding an obstacle and tactical course. These additions will provide opportunities for fellowship, team building, and personal growth, supporting the Lodge’s mission to strengthen men both spiritually and physically. By fostering camaraderie and promoting responsible leadership, we aim to equip men to better serve their families, communities, and faith.
NOW Generation Lane
-
Pavilion + Outdoor Space (Phase 2) ($100,000)
At our Central Campus, we envision creating a vibrant outdoor space for various activities and community gatherings. Our dream includes building a versatile pavilion for grilling, outdoor seating, and picnics, all with the beautiful backdrop of our pond. To ensure this space is welcoming both day and night, we plan to add hardscapes and lightscapes for evening events, along with a retaining wall and steps for better accessibility and aesthetics.
We are also excited to introduce special programs like father-son camping adventures and dedicated gatherings for our youth and young adults. These initiatives aim to foster a strong sense of community and provide opportunities for meaningful connections among everyone involved.
-
Floating Pier + Paddle Boats ($30,000)
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the outdoor space next to our Central Campus, we have exciting plans that include the addition of a floating pier and paddle boats to our pond. This addition will offer a unique and enjoyable way for families and young adults to engage with the water.
Furthermore, we are looking forward to hosting family fishing tournaments at the pond, creating a fun atmosphere that promotes family bonding. Additionally, we're committed to providing dedicated spaces for the recreation and enjoyment of our youth and young adults, ensuring that Freedom House remains an inviting space for all generations to connect and partake in memorable experiences.
-
One Student Shuttle ($60,000 per shuttle)
We have acquired a 15-passenger shuttle to improve our youth services and make transportation easier for parents. Now, we want to acquire another shuttle for our Vertical Youth services on Sunday nights. These vehicles will provide safe and efficient transportation for our youth, allowing us to reach and serve a larger community of young individuals. Our goal is to offer reliable and comfortable transportation that better connects and supports the needs of our Vertical students.
-
Campus Playzones ($100,000 per campus)
We are dedicated to creating inviting and safe play zones at each of our campuses, designed to be spaces where children can simply be themselves and enjoy the pure, unadulterated fun of childhood. These areas will feature an array of recreational equipment such as swings, slides, and climbing structures, offering opportunities for kids to engage in active play and make lasting memories. Our goal is to foster an environment where children can thrive, have a blast, and experience the joy of being a kid.
-
Indoor Furniture ($10,000)
We are excited to improve The House by purchasing new indoor furniture designed for our young adults. This furniture will create a comfortable and inviting space for LifeGroups, house parties, and other gatherings, fostering connections and community. With comfortable seating and flexible arrangements, our young adults will have a welcoming environment for meaningful discussions, friendship-building, and faith growth.
-
Outdoor Furniture ($10,000)
With the recent completion of the build-out at The House, we are excited to enhance our outdoor spaces with new furniture. We aim to provide comfortable outdoor couches, chairs, side tables, and picnic tables to create inviting areas for gatherings, fellowship, and relaxation. This outdoor furniture will offer a welcoming setting for events, allowing friends and families to enjoy nature while engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
-
Sound System ($2500)
To elevate our events at The House, we envision installing a high-quality sound system that will enhance our audio capabilities indoors and outdoors. This system will enable us to project music and sound more effectively during gatherings, worship sessions, and community events, creating an immersive experience for all attendees. It will be especially impactful during our MVMNT worship nights, where young adults gather to praise and connect. With clear, powerful audio, we can create a more engaging environment that fosters deeper connections and meaningful experiences.
-
Portable PA System ($1500)
We want to acquire a portable PA system to bring worship and church events beyond our walls, engaging youth and young adults wherever they are—whether at The House, The Lodge, local schools, or outdoor gatherings. This equipment will help us create impactful worship experiences, foster connections, and reach out in various settings, allowing us to share God's love in new and dynamic ways.
-
Vertical Computers ($7500)
Providing laptops for our students helps us give ministry back by inviting them to learn and lead in the areas of worship, production and even organizing ministry events. By investing in this technology, we are empowering and equipping this generation of church leaders to grow in their faith, serve their peers and dream boldly about how they can further God's kingdom.
-
School Outreach Meals ($5000)
We aim to serve meals to students in our community while connecting them to Freedom House and inviting them to Vertical services. These meals offer more than nourishment; they provide a chance to build relationships with young people and share the love of Christ in a supportive environment. By partnering with these schools, we can introduce students to a community of faith, encouraging them to seek a deeper connection with God and the local church.
-
Youth Retreat Space ($1,000,000)
Our vision is to acquire a property where youth and young adults can deepen their connection with God and each other while enjoying classic camp activities such as ziplining, paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and hiking. This ideal space would include access to water, fire pits, cabins for overnight stays, a recreation area for worship nights and ministry sessions, and a dining hall for meals, creating a comprehensive retreat experience.
-
Lake Norman + Central Shed ($40,000)
Kids ministry takes more than just a village of volunteers and pastors – it also takes lots of props! We want a place to store all of our equipment, costumes, props and teaching tools so that we can easily store and safeguard all the “tools of the trade.”
-
FHKids Sound System ($5,300)
As with adult services, worship is a HUGE part of the FHKids weekend experience. Upgrading our sound systems will allow for an even more impactful time of worship. Furthermore, upgraded microphone and recording equipment will allow us to further develop and train our NOW Generation for all aspects of ministry, from sharing their testimony to praying for others to delivering messages.
-
Arrows Computers ($7,500)
Our Arrows classroom engages with the most students on any given weekend (Kindergarten-4th grade), and we want to ensure we have the technology needed to grasp kids’ attention and maximize our impact in their lives. Upgraded computer equipment will ensure we have the latest technology to share images, stories and most importantly God’s Word to our children.
-
Check-In Computers ($7,000)
We want to optimize every facet of the FHKids experience, including our check-in systems. By upfitting our check-in technology, we will have the ability to accelerate check-in, better ensure all family information is in-sync and up to date, and get students into classrooms faster – where they can continue learning about the Gospel.
Missions + Outreach Lane
-
Thanksgiving Turkeys ($37,500)
Our goal is to offer Thanksgiving turkeys to more than 1,500 Charlotte families each year, ensuring that they can enjoy a traditional and heartwarming holiday meal. Our Kingdom Builders help us reach this goal every year + allow us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities.
-
Community + Recreation Sports Complex ($3,000,000)
We have a vision for a Community Recreation and Sports Complex, a space where the community can come together to foster team building and sportsmanship. This complex will include amenities such as ball fields, soccer fields, dugouts, and basketball courts, creating a hub for active engagement and enjoyment for all.
Furthermore, we believe that sports play a crucial role in helping children stay focused and disciplined, even in the face of economic challenges and fatherless households that some young individuals may experience. The complex will not only offer a platform for physical activity and skill development but also serve as a place for mentorship and character building, making it an invaluable resource for our community.
-
Mobile Baptism Equipment + Pop Up Church ($10,000)
We are committed to performing baptisms throughout the community, reaching people in places like Uptown, rehab centers, and parks. To make this mission more effective, we aim to get portable baptism equipment, including clothing, tanks, and towels. This will allow us to bring baptisms wherever they're needed in a convenient and inclusive way.
As we take church to the streets, we also want to purchase a portable PA system to host worship, services, and baptisms all over the city!
-
Event Warehouse ($500,000)
We have an exciting vision for an Event Warehouse that will become a vibrant hub for our Easter and Christmas outreaches, as well as other life-changing events. This space will streamline planning, offer storage, and serve as a flexible venue for our productions. By acquiring this warehouse, we’ll eliminate storage costs, work on multiple events at once, and host community gatherings like conferences, weddings, and corporate events. It will also elevate our internal events, like Authentic + Strong, while providing rental opportunities for outside organizations, expanding our impact even further.
-
Digital Missions ($185,000)
In our pursuit of global outreach, we recognize the profound impact and importance of digital missions. Acknowledging that we cannot solely rely on physical presence, we understand the significance of leveraging digital platforms to spread the message of the gospel. With just a simple press of a button, individuals from diverse locations can instantly connect with the teachings and principles of the gospel.
To strengthen our digital missions capabilities, we are considering the procurement of essential equipment, including a video switcher valued at $30,000, broadcast cameras totaling $30,000, and an LED wall requiring an investment of $125,000.
These technological advancements will enable us to enhance our digital outreach and ensure that we continue to reach and connect with individuals worldwide, regardless of geographical boundaries or constraints.
-
Ugandan Missionary ($15,000)
Our commitment extends to our Ugandan missionary partners, and we aspire to provide them with one full year of support. This support will enable them to continue their crucial mission work in Uganda, making a positive impact on the lives of the people they serve and teaching people the good news about Jesus.
-
Mobile Ultrasound Unit ($190,000 each)
We are excited to partner with Help Pregnancy Center to bring mobile ultrasound units to our community. This initiative will make life-saving resources accessible to expectant mothers, providing them with crucial support and care. Studies show that over 80% of women who see their babies through ultrasound choose life. Together with local supporters, we can make this vision a reality, offering hope and tangible support to moms in need.
-
Ice Cream Truck ($40,000)
We have a goal to enhance our outreach by purchasing an operating ice cream truck to connect with families and individuals throughout the city. This mobile platform will allow us to attend community events, offering sweet treats while building relationships and introducing people to our local church. As a vendor, we’ll have the opportunity to participate in various festivals, school events, neighborhood gatherings and more.
-
Mission Trip Sponsorship ($3,500 each)
Sponsoring a Freedom House mission trip helps send someone from our church to serve and make disciples around the world. Your support covers all trip costs. Through this partnership, you help spread the gospel and make a lasting impact in communities across the globe.
-
LKN Campus Community Area ($3,000,000)
Our LKN Campus is growing, and we need to create a space for community to flourish. We want to take some of the LKN Campus property (the old go cart track) and create an outdoor pavilion complete with meeting space, tables, and fire pits. This will not only create a place for people to gather and connect on Sundays, but throughout the week with their groups as well.
-
Freedom Academy Playground Expansion + Upgrade ($100,000)
Freedom Academy is growing, and with growth comes the opportunity to further enhance our outdoor play space for all ages. We want to expand our existing outdoor space, build play and slide structures into our nature area, build a climbing apparatus, and expand fencing around our green space to ensure the safety of our students.
-
Freedom Academy Gaga Pit ($5,000)
Sports are a wonderful way to engage people in community across all ages and ability levels. We would love to have a Gaga pit to play Gaga Ball, a popular youth game. Having our own pit will give us dedicated space to laugh, move and have some friendly competition among peers.
-
Freedom Academy Upfit of Classroom Furniture + Storage ($15,000)
Our world is changing, and we must change the way we educate children to keep up with it. Upfitting our classrooms with new furniture and technology will make our staff as agile as possible in teaching students and giving them skills they will need in the workplace, college and in life.
