What is EQUIP?

EQUIP is a chance for believers to go deeper in their faith by growing in their understanding of the Bible. Freedom House launched EQUIP as part of our mission to equip people to experience Christ's freedom in their everyday lives.

  • EQUIP 101 and EQUIP 201 are different levels of the Bible and theology sessions.

    EQUIP 101 is meant to establish an understanding of the Bible.

    EQUIP 201 is about expanding understanding and going deeper.

  • Learning theology is important because it enables believers to more fully understand what God has done and will do, as well as helps them provide a defense for the hope that is within them (1 Peter 3:15) in a world pushing a post-Christian worldview.

  • EQUIP classes take place across six consecutive Monday nights at Central Campus.

  • The total cost is $100, which includes all sessions, materials, + childcare.

EQUIP101 SESSIONS

  • 1. Essential Beliefs of the Christian Faith:

    Discover the core truths of Christianity that shape a follower of Jesus. We’ll explore who God is, His plan of redemption through Christ, and His design to restore all creation.

  • 2. The Problem of Sin and God's Solution:

    Understand the reality of sin and its impact on our relationship with God. This session unpacks God’s redemptive story, fulfilled in Jesus’ sacrifice, and what that means for us today.

  • 3. Walking in Faith and Authority:

    Learn how faith works in our daily lives and how God has given every believer authority. This session will equip you to live boldly, relying on God’s power and promises.

  • 4. Understanding the Bible:

    Get a big-picture overview of Scripture—its structure, main themes, and the story it tells. You’ll also learn practical tools to study the Bible and apply it to your life.

  • 5. The Power of the Holy Spirit:

    Discover who the Holy Spirit is and how He leads, comforts, and empowers us. This session will help you understand what it means to walk in step with Him every day.

  • 6. God's Plan in the End Times:

    Explore what the Bible teaches about the end times, including the rapture and tribulation. Gain clarity and confidence in God’s ultimate plan of redemption and restoration.

EQUIP201 SESSIONS

  • 1. What is a Christian Worldview?: 

    See how your beliefs shape the way you see and live in the world. We’ll compare competing worldviews and show why the Christian perspective best explains life and truth.

  • 2. Prayer & Spiritual Warfare:

    Build a biblical foundation for prayer and understand how to stand strong in spiritual battles. This session covers different types of prayer, the purpose of prayer, and how to live in the victory Jesus has already won.

  • 3. Christian Essentials:

    Take a deeper dive into core Christian beliefs: the Trinity, God’s plan of redemption, and His design to restore what was broken. Strengthen your faith with a fuller understanding of these foundations.

  • 4. Biblical Perspective on Money:

    Learn what the Bible says about earning, saving, investing, debt, and generosity. This session will challenge and equip you to handle money in a way that honors God.

  • 5. God’s Purpose for the Local Church:

    Understand why the local church matters in the life of every believer. We’ll look at its purpose, the roles God established, and how each of us is called to contribute.

  • 6. Eschatology: Digging into the End Times:

    Take a closer look at the Book of Revelation and God’s final work of redemption. This session unpacks biblical eschatology and what it reveals about the future.
