CAMPUS CARE (FACILITIES) COORDINATOR

Weekly Janitorial Oversight

  • Inspection of cleaning services for all campuses. including bathrooms, auditoriums and multi-purpose areas.

  • Collect and discard trash, and replenish toiletries, when necessary in all buildings.

  • Confirm that all furniture is dusted, as well as any seating areas, hallways and rooms are mopped and clean. 

  • Inspection and cleaning of all campus interior and exterior windows and glass doors.

*While our Campuses currently have retained a company for weekend cleaning/janitorial services, the above duties may be required in the event of special events (i.e., weddings, funerals, etc.) or on-site needs in-between services.

Maintenance Support

  • Work with  facility contractors to assist and troubleshoot with any plumbing, electrical, painting and HVAC needs.

  • Assist with the ordering, delivery and effective stocking of all Campuses specific supplies (i.e., toiletries, tools cleaning supplies, etc.).

  • Provide monthly and/or quarterly checks of all walls and rooms to highlight where painting is necessary, provide re-touching and/or work with facilities team/contractor to schedule comprehensive painting.

  • Work to ensure that all necessary equipment and tools are readily accessible, updated and stocked efficiently.

  • Responsible for the organization and tidiness of all maintenance and storage/closet areas.

Groundskeeping

  • Coordinate landscaping and grounds maintenance.

  • Ensure there is an overall clean and tidy environment in and around all FH locations. 

Weekend Service Assistance

  • Provide weekend on-site assistance and troubleshooting for any HVAC, janitorial and mechanical needs, when necessary.

  • Ensure campuses are secured after services conclude, and make sure alarms are set. 

  • Oversee global Campus Care Team Leads.

Facility Use

  • Help coordinate and execute Facility usage for both internal and external events/rentals. 

The primary purpose of the Campus Care Coordinator is to coordinate care and maintenance for all of the Freedom House facilities and oversight of their Campus’ Team. This includes janitorial, maintenance, groundskeeping, fleet management, facilities vendor management as well as on-site assistance for weekend services and campus-hosted events.

Qualifications & Skills

Facilities: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of facilities, maintenance and/or mechanical leadership experience. Candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow through.

Other skills deemed valuable for this position:

  • Computer Savvy; proficient in MS Office

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • A knack for creative, collaborative problem-solving.
